Busking with handpan — experiences and tips?

Thinking about busking with my handpan this summer. Never done street performance before. Any advice on choosing spots, dealing with weather, how much you typically make, and general tips? Also curious about permits — do most cities require them?

Been busking for 3 years. Best tip: find a spot with natural foot traffic and good acoustics (under an archway or near a stone wall). The handpan projects well outdoors but a natural reverb space makes a huge difference.

Check your local busking regulations first! Many cities require a permit. In London you need to audition for certain spots. I usually make 30-60 EUR/hour on good days. Summer tourist season is the sweet spot.
